International Relations Group is an initiative being implemented as a follow upto the international meet "Emerging Kerala", by the Govt. of Kerala with a mission to give a huge fillip to the efforts byf the Centres of Higher Education in the State of Kerala for improving international visibility and to improve academic standards. The International Relations Group constituted from among the various University representatives with the firm support from the Government of Kerala, will provide the necessary platform for coordinating activities related to international collaborations.


The Unit for International Relations & Academic Admissions (IRAA) coordinates the activities related with international collaborations, student admissions and cater to the needs of the University’s academic community in their collaborative research works, combined hosting of international seminars and other related activities.

Over the years, the international students have opted for Under-Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma and Research Programmes. They apply either on a self-financing basis or through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The ICCR, on behalf of the Government of India, offers scholarships to the international students. The IRAA Unit acts as a liaison office between the ICCR and the ICCR scholars studying in the University.

Throughout the year the University plays host to various delegates from different nations. Such visits are mostly initiated by the Departments in the University, for which the IRAA Unit provides the necessary support. The purpose of such visits includes attending Conferences/Seminars, Joint Research/Training, Experience Sharing etc. IRAA also helps in handling International Consultancy Works taken up by different faculty members. .Foreign Collaborations opens up a world of opportunities to the students and faculties alike.
